Union Building Trades Registered Apprenticeships provide state-of-the-art skills through a combination of classroom instruction and work experience.  Apprentices earn while they learn, instead of taking on educational debt.  Apprentices become Journey-Level workers, who work with new materials and technologies across a variety of fast-changing industries like clean energy, infrastructure, buildings, and heavy construction. Union trades workers maintain the highest levels of skill and worker safety across every jobsite.

The New York State Building and Construction Trades Council hosts an annual Apprenticeship Works event in Albany each year where all the union building trades demonstrate their crafts, interact with students, the community, as well as legislators from around New York State.  During the event, participants can virtual weld or paint, lay brick, work with sheet metal, and more!
